Hey ya'll, long time since I've rapped at you.
I've got a couple of improv shows this weekend with Kitsch Alive at Lord Leebrick downtown! They are on Friday and Saturday at 11:00 pm, the cost is 5 bucks.
On Friday we'll be doing a traditional shortform show, full of laughs, and anything can happen.
On Saturday we're going long, we'll be debuting an experimental long for show never ever attempted before. So come if you want to be on the cutting edge of Improv!

| A Quick Review |

So, I went and saw Clerks 2 tonight. Now I'll admit I had HUGE reservations when I heard Kevin Smith was making Clerks 2. I am a very big Kevin Smith fan, I've followed his films since high school, and I find myself able to realate to the characters and conversations he creates. I'd place Chasing Amy in my top 5 all time favorite films.
Now I went into the film with some anticipation, the reviews have been more good than bad, but just barely so. After seeing it I felt the need to give my 2 cents.
I loved it.
I LOVED it.
Now before I go any further, let me say that I'm not always impressed with Kevin Smith's work. I felt Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, was amusing, but disappointing because it did not live up to the movie I imagined it to be.
However Clerks 2 really wowed me. I felt it was the culmination (though not equal to Chasing Amy in my book) of Kevin Smith's growth as a director. On one hand his pop culture laden crude humor was there in fine form by the way of incredibly witty and laugh inducing conversations. But at the same time there was also a level of maturity shown in the film too, obviously a reflection of Kevin's journey since he began making films.
Anyways, just felt the need to share!

Hey I've been kinda mum about it, but I've been very busy
Woman In Mind is running for 2 more weeks.
Joseph and Cohen are coming on Thursday and you ought to come with them. It would make me happy to see some familiar faces in the crowd.
The show runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 pm and Sunday at 2 pm this week, and Thursday and Friday at 8 pm next week.
Tickets are 9-12 bucks.

Netflix sent me The Hills Have Eyes last week, the disk was nearly broken in half. So I reported it as broken, sent it back and requested to be sent a new copy.
Today I got the EXACT same copy in the mail.
